Description
The QuickStart Orientation is a self-service online orientation web app first introduced at the University of British Columbia in 2007. Designed to help newly recruited faculty and staff piece together an orientation welcome package that is targeted specifically to their employment group, campus location, and selected interests, the QuickStart Orientation web app was the first of its kind at universities in Canada, and served as a model followed by other HR departments across the country. The web application continues to be used today.
