In both work and my personal life, I have a few projects on the go. And as I work my way through them, there are a few things I’m learning that I wanted to jot down as reminders as I continue along.
- Change is hard. You have to initiate it, but more importantly, keep it going.
- Momentum is a gold nugget. When you find it, hold onto it and keep it.
- Come up with a new way to answer, “What’s new?” or “How are you?” – find some way to mention your project.
- Remain optimistic. Like gets like. Negative thoughts lead to more negative thoughts. But the positive leads to more positive.
- Talk to people. Share your ideas. And remember to stay positive and optimistic.
- Remember what you’re doing it for. (whatever “it” is)
- Take a break and give yourself time to shift your attention to something completely different.
- Go for a run or find some other way to recharge.
- Be prepared and anticipate, but don’t be scared of failure.
- Whatever you plan to do, begin it.
And that’s about it. So the trick now is to remember these 10 things!
