Have you seen this TED talk by Stefan Sagmeister?  http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/stefan_sagmeister_the_power_of_time_off.html 

I love the concept of taking your retirement years and interspersing them throughout your working years.   Of course 7 years is a long time to wait in between sabaticals if you aren&#039;t energized by your work.  Still it&#039;s a concept that I&#039;d love to try and incorporate into my life.</description>
