Here’s a look at each of my latest predictions:
- An attempt will be made on President Palmer’s well-being (I’m not quite predicting an attempt on his life), and Assad will be framed with the attempt
I was 50/50 right and wrong on this one. The attempt was indeed on Palmer’s life, but Assad was also framed for the attempt. So I’m calling this one a draw.
- Assad will see the plans unfolding and will do his best to save the President, but won’t quite succeed
That’s 1 point for me as Assad noticed the bomb shortly before detonation, and then warned “Bomb!” just seconds before the bomb went off.
- The attempt on Palmer will not be entirely successful, but will do what it needs to do to (at least temporarily) remove him from the Presidency
- Palmer (and likely others) will notice Assad’s actions, which will buy Assad some trust, even though it will be compromised with Palmer being incapacitated
- At the same time, Assad will be accused of attempting to kill the President and will be detained
Seems like these three are all on track, but we won’t know until next week. So for now, I’m calling these all a draw.
